Top Earnings Reports This Week

Earnings season may be winding down, but there are still plenty of corporations reporting earnings this week, including:

 

Earnings season may be wrapping up, but a slew of major companies still remain on tap to report quarterly results this week, including Hertz Global Holdings (HTZ - Get Report) , auction house Sotheby's (BID - Get Report) and WhiteWave Foods(WWAV - Get Report) on Monday, all of which come out before the opening bell.

Analysts expect WhiteWave to post earnings per share of 31 cents on sales of almost $982 million. "I think WhiteWave is a very hot name right now because it's in the healthy, organic space," said Scott Berman, portfolio analyst at Jim Cramer's Action Alerts PLUS charitable trust portfolio, which holds WhiteWave shares. "The stock has been down as of late because of some disappointing sales numbers. But management has actually guided for 10 percent plus sales growth for the second half of the year."

Dish Network (DISH - Get Report) and Priceline Group (PCLN - Get Report) also report quarterly results on Monday morning.

On Tuesday before the bell, we'll hear from home builder D.R. Horton (DHI) andTribune Media (TRCO) . As for Wednesday, keep an eye out for earnings from retailer Macy's (M) , before the opening bell, along with security giant ADT Corporation (ADT) . Wednesday is also Veteran's Day; U.S. markets are open, but banks are closed.

Thursday brings reports from Kohl's (KSS) and Viacom (VIAB) in the morning, whileCisco Systems (CSCO) releases its results after the markets close.
And on Friday, a few more major companies like Tyco International (TYC) and J.C. Penney (JCP) report earnings before the opening bell.

While it will be a light week on the economic data calendar, investors should keep an eye out for the weekly initial jobless claims report on Thursday, and the October retail sales report -- a critical gauge of consumer health --  which will be released Friday. Both reports will be closely scrutinized by the Federal Reserve, which is weighing its first rate hike in nearly a decade.
