I don't even think the fear mongerers from the last 10+ years could have crafted a more damaging event to the global economy.
Listen.... its bad... its going to get worse... when this is all done and over with, like 2008, there will be companies that go belly up and never come back.
But guess what. This will pass. It's tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In 2001 the night if the terrorist attacks.. the world was never going to be the same. Who knew what lay ahead. But it sure felt the World was going to be different from that day forward. And it was to an extent. But we move on. Time moves on. We go back to living like we know how. But in the moment. The fear. The anxiety. It feels like its never going to end. Nothing will be the same.
With that. I think this Virus is like a massive forest fire. It is coming and will leave a trail of destruction. The smoke and ash will last a while. But the forest will come back fresh, new, and as vibrant as ever.
And with that the market is now open... another 1k down day for the DOW. Historic moves.... historic times... and something we..hopefully... will not see again in our lifetimes. The market will go on. We will survive. And down the road we will be looking back and wondering why we were so panicked.
