It’s All Going To End Badly

Breaking news.... we are all going to die!

Some of us may die this year, some next year, some the year after that and perhaps some 50 years from now... 51 years from now... you get the point.

We are all going to die.

Do you roll out of bed this morning thinking "OH my god I'm going to die today"

When faced with anything in life do you always picture the worst case outcome?

I'm not going to take a survey, but I   imagine  if you are reading this odds are you probably don't think that way.

If most of us are going to live many, many, and many more years why would we even think about our untimely demise, when we can bask in what life has to give us.

Even in the rainiest part of the world,  the sky is always grey and the rain comes in buckets, nature gives many reasons for the people living there to keep their heads up.  The beauty of nature -  a nature made tree bridge.  Just awesome.

And yet when it comes to the stock market, there is an obsession with death.   The destruction of asset prices.  The focus on fear.   Tune into Marketwatch this morning and get FED some more fear mongering fodder.

What caught my eye this morning is that the bearishness isn't solely placed on the bulls.... who are always labeled as clueless hogs eating up stocks without a care in the world.  No this time the headline calls for BEAR and BULL  alike to fear for their lives.  Ironic no?

It's a tragedy... which is a terrible term to use....

What an ugly way to try and draw eyes to an article.

The real 'tragedy' is these fear mongers who roll out of bed every morning thinking about destruction, suffering, and distress.

The stock market is after all, just money.  It's not health, its not family, its not nature, its not love.   Its not life.

On a long enough timeline everyone will die.  That is the unfortunate truth.  Those waking up every day worrying about it... thats not the way to live.  And I'd imagine most people don't,  thankfully.  Just like most people don't think the market is going to crash every day the last 10 years.

The real tragedy is those who have been scared to be long this market the last 10 years because the fear mongerers have been comparing this once in a lifetime rally anything and everything along the way from 1987 to 2000 to 2008.

I wear a seatbelt.   I look both ways before I cross the street.  I exercise.  I eat pretty good.  There are things we can all do to extend our time on this earth.  Worrying about it does us no good.  Preparing for it... being proactive.... that's what we should be doing.   And when it does all come to an end for us on that day hopefully a long time from now... if we lived our lives right - it won't be ending badly, it will be a good ending.
