Stocks closed at record highs yesterday, as the sell off of three weeks ago is now a far distant memory. Gold continues to plunge to new multi-year lows as investors seek the rewards of owning stocks.
Earnings reports continue this week. Last night $WFM reported results that pleased and the stock is up some 8%+ early on today.
Here is some of what I am reading this morning:
Election day has come and gone. Stock futures seem ambivalent to the fact that the Republicans have taken over the world. If we've learned anything since the lows in March of 2009, the stock market doesn't really care about you or I, it doesn't care about elections, it doesn't care about war, or government shutdowns, it doesn't care about epidemics, it doesn't care about all those headwinds it has battled to hit record high prices. Yesterday was just another election day and the stock market will continue doing what its been doing for the last 5+ year - defying everyone.
Here is what I am reading this morning:
It's election day. Thankfully we the advertisements and unsolicited phone calls will finally come to an end. Stocks are set to start the day off modestly in the red. Earnings reports continue to come out with $FEYE, $TRIP, $ZU, among companies reporting earnings today.
